Olympic Stadium

Ukraine's largest sports venue, the Olympic Stadium (known locally as NSC Olimpiyskiy) has undergone several renovations since it was built as the Red Stadium of Lev Trotsky in 1923. The most recent and spectacular transformation of the stadium was in 2011 in preparation for the EURO 2012 competition. Two-tiered, with an impressive new glass roof over the seating and with a purpose-built VIP area, the stadium has been described as 'atmospheric'.

Situated in the centre of the nation's capital city of Kiev, the Olympic Stadium now has a massive capacity of 70,050. It is home to the Ukraine national football team and plays host to Dynamo Kiev's European games as well as to five games in the EURO 2012 Championships including the final match of the competition on the 1st of July.
